The Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) will be holding its 18th Annual Convention jointly with the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (PSMID) on August 18-19, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, Ortigas Ave., cor. ADB Avenue, Quezon City.

With this year’s theme, “Beyond TB Control: Bridging the Gap”, the Scientific Committee has lined up plenary sessions and convention symposia that will tackle the current state of TB control in the world and in the Philippines, gaps in TB control, intensified TB case-finding in children and in vulnerable adult groups, addressing TB Gaps in hospital setting, engaging private providers, solutions in TB infection control, and non-clinical innovations, among others.
